Serhiy Fesenko


Sergey Fesenko Jr. is a long-distance freestyle swimmer from Ukraine. He competed in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece and qualified to represent his country at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. As a student at Indiana University, Fesenko was Big Ten swimmer of the week twice and NCAA swimmer of the week once in the 2005–2006 collegiate season. His father, Sergey Fesenko, Sr., won the gold medal in the 200m butterfly at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow.
Sergey Fesenko Jr. still resides in the United States and is a full citizen of the United States of America. He is now the owner of several properties and is quite a successful entrepreneur. He has a Masters in Economic Sciences.
He has also served in the Ukrainian military as an Air Defense unit. Although he may have not seen action or war, his position within the military was extremely important to his country. Details of his job title include border security and destroying aircraft mid-flight if necessary. Luckily he bypassed the Ukrainian battles with Russian forces and has hopes that his country will fight and win it's freedoms from the grasp of the occupied Russian forces.
