Scott Sandford

Dr. Scott Sandford, is an astronomer and NASA space scientist. Sandford is also a Co-Investigator on several sample return missions.
Dr. Sandford has used the combined techniques of infrared astronomy and laboratory astrophysics to judge a number of new molecular species in space, many of interest exobiology. His present laboratory interests include the study of the physical, chemical, and stereoscopic properties of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons as well as the astrophysical ice analogs relevant to interstellar, cometary, and planetary environments.
