Sarah Thompson (Canadian actress)


Sarah Thompson is a Canadian actress best known for playing the role of Molly Ross in the Canadian drama series Burden of Truth. She also had a recurring role on the post-apocalyptic science fiction drama series The 100.

Early life

Thompson was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She started dancing when she was 3 years old and continued to, throughout her high school years. After facing several injuries she stopped dancing at the age of 18 and decided to focus on acting.

Career

Sarah got her first acting role during her childhood, in the movie Make it Happen when she was just 12 years old.
She gained further attention after starring as a waitress in the film Love Sick in 2016.
Thompson's landed her first major role in 2018, when she starred in the legal drama series Burden of Truth. She played the role of Molly Ross, a young girl who suffers from seizures.
Most recently she starred in the post-apocalyptic science fiction series The 100 as Josephine Lightbourne, one of the series' villains. She landed the role after Richard Harmon her co-star from the film The Return, who plays Murphy on The 100 told her that they needed someone for the role and she would be perfect for it. She sent her audition tape and was eventually cast for the role.
In 2018, she starred in the movie Night Hunter alongside actors Henry Cavill and Ben Kingsley.

Personal life

Thomspon was diagnosed with epilepsy when she suffered a Grand mal seizure at the age of 16. She says that because of the correct medicine, she has been seizure free since many years now.
Thompson is part of the Orange Daisy Project, a campaign that seeks to promote mental health in young woman.
