Fortunato Santini
, a
Catholic priest
born in a
Roman
orphanage
in 1778. The archive
contains
autograph
manuscripts
by
George Frideric Handel
and
Alessandro Scarlatti
, and in some
cases
preserved the only
copies
of these works for many years.
