Sankarnagar


Sankar Nagar is a panchayat town in Tirunelveli district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Thalaiyuthu, also known as Sankar Nagar, is a small suburb of Tirunelveli about 8 km north of the city on the Tirunelveli-Madurai National Highway. It is popularly called as Sankar Nagar because of the Sankar Cement factory which initiated settlement in the area.
