Sairbeen is a flagship show of BBC Urdu about current affairs aired on the radio and television. The show was started in 1968.History
With its start in 1968, it acquired huge following in Pakistan. During Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, when the state television, PTV, told that everything is fine in East Pakistan, the program told the truth. During 1999 Pakistani coup d'état, it acquired around 20 million people tuning in each week.
