Saint-Apollinaire, Quebec


Saint-Apollinaire is a municipality in the Municipalité régionale de comté de Lotbinière in Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the population is 6,110 as of 2016. It is named after Saint Apollinaris.

History

The area was settled starting in 1850 and Saint-Apollinaire was founded in 1855, after the territory was detached from Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly. In 1974, the village of Francœur joined the municipality, giving it its current shape.
