SEAT Arona

The SEAT Arona is a mini crossover SUV manufactured by SEAT since 2017.

Debut

Between 2015 and the launch of the Arona, sales of high built cars like crossovers and SUVs increased four times. The Arona was the third novelty of the marque after the upgraded León, and the new generation of the Ibiza.
SEAT launched three new utility vehicles between 2016 and 2019, due to the growing popularity of them. First was the middle one in size, the Ateca in 2016, next is the Arona, and the mid size SUV is the Tarraco in 2018.
Before its reveal, SEAT's deputy chairman Ramón Paredes met with mayor of Arona, Tenerife, Spain. The Ibiza-based crossover was first presented in Barcelona on 26 June 2017. 250 journalists attended the show from various countries. The public audience could see it in the Frankfurt Motor Show for the first time in September 2017.

Engines

The Arona is only available with two engines: the petrol and diesel version of a 999cc, 115 horsepower turbocharged.
