Rybná nad Zdobnicí


Rybná nad Zdobnicí, until 1947: Německá Rybná, is a small village situated on the in north-east Bohemia in the Rychnov nad Kněžnou District, Czech Republic.

History

The village was founded in 1354 during the reign of Přemysl Otakar II. The meaning of the village name refers that there used to be many ponds. Its name was changed after World War II from "German Rybná" to Rybná nad Zdobnicí.

Sights

In 1938 a famous picture-gallery in the building of "kampelička" was founded from the collection of who was a vicar in Německá Rybná. The most of the production comes from academic painter and native of Rybná .

Culture

It has become a tradition that "A Rybna's musical summer" is held.
Several concerts every summer is organized by the Czech touring association.

Transport

Rybná nad Zdobnicí belongs to the integrated public transport system of Hradec Králové Region.
The transport infrastructure consists of buses and trains. There are six bus stops and one railway-stop in Rybná nad Zdobnicí.
