Rosinda


Rosinda is an opera in three acts and a prologue by the Italian composer Francesco Cavalli with a libretto by Giovanni Faustini. It was first performed at the Teatro Sant 'Apollinare, Venice in 1651 and revived in Naples and/or Florence in 1653 under the title Le magie amorose.
Its first revival in modern times was in a version by Jane Glover who conducted it at the Oxford University Opera Club at the Oxford Playhouse in October 1973. The opera was performed in 2008 in Germany with Francesca Lombardi Mazzulli in the title role.
