Roman Packo


Roman Packo is a former Slovak football goalkeeper best known for playing in Pohronie for 7 years. He currently serves as a goalkeeping coach at the Žiar nad Hronom-based club.

Career

Club career

He was the longest serving 'founding player' of Pohronie, being with the club since its formation in the summer of 2012, until his retirement at the age of 40 in February 2020. For most of his tenure he was an alternate goalkeeper, for example alternating for Tomáš Jenčo or Martin Vantruba.
Overall, he collected 28 league starts for Pohronie across 3. Liga and 2. Liga. Although he was in the team's squad in Fortuna Liga, he did not make an appearance.

Managerial career

After retiring in February 2020, he was appointed goalkeeper coach of his last club, Pohronie, competing in the Fortuna Liga.
