Rockingham County Schools


Rockingham County Schools is a public school district in Rockingham County in the U.S. state of North Carolina. Rodney Shotwell was chosen as the superintendent in 2006 when the student enrollment was at 14,700. As of 2019, Shotwell has overseen the loss of nearly 20 percent of the students since he became superintendent. Mcmichael High School and Morehead High School were lowered to 2A status as a result of the loss of students under Shotwell.
