Riffle (anonymity network)

Riffle is an anonymity network developed at MIT as a response to the problems of the Tor browser. Riffle employs a verifiable shuffle and is said to be ten times faster than onion-based networks which includes Tor. The Tor software is free and dominates anonymity network software use.
According to the Larry Hardesty article researchers at MIT and the Qatar Computing Research Institute have demonstrated a vulnerability in Tor's design. The same paper also proposes defenses, which representatives of the Tor project say they are evaluating for possible inclusion in future versions of the Tor software.
