Benitez is the daughter of John Benitez, a Studio 54 disc jockey and music producer. Her mother, Carolyn Effer, is a businesswoman and former model. She was born in Los Angeles. When she was a high school student, Benitez worked at her mother's restaurant, Coffee Shop, in Union Square.
She made her debut as a disc jockey in April 2015. She also works in hospitality for a concierge management company. Benitez is one of Andrew Warren's muses for his fashion line Just Drew and has walked the runway in his shows.
Benitez has been referred to as one of the Rich Kids of Instagram and is part of the Snap Pack, a wealthy New York social group including Andrew Warren, Gaïa Jacquet-Matisse, Kyra Kennedy, Ezra J. William, Peter Brant II, EJ Johnson, and Tiffany Trump.
