Raymond Debenedetti


Raymond Debenedetti - Surgeon General of the French Army. He was born on November 26, 1901 in Lyon and died on January 24, 1969 in Val-de-Grâce. He was awarded the Escapees' Medal, the Order of the British Empire, the Croix de guerre 1939–1945, the Officer of the Legion of Merit, the Médaille de la Résistance, the Grand Officer of the Legion of Honour, the Officer of the Legion of Honour, the Commander of the Legion of Honour, the Croix du combattant volontaire 1939–1945, the Knight of the Legion of Honour.
