Ralph Miller (alpine skier)
Ralph English Miller is an American alpine skier. He competed in three events at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo when he was one of the top downhill racers in the world. While attending Dartmouth College, he won the NCAA overall skimeister title in 1951 and in 1957. In 1955, he set a world speed record of 108.7 miles per hour in Portillo Chile. In 1953 he had been one of the first American skiers to go to Chile to train. The record stood for 15 years.
His wife, Pam Miller, was the mayor of Lexington, Kentucky.
