Rajesh De


Rajesh "Raj" De is an American lawyer, and former U.S. government official.
From early 2011 through April 2012, De served as White House Staff Secretary. From April 2012 through March 2015, he was general counsel for the U.S. National Security Agency, a period marked by controversy over disclosures of NSA surveillance. After leaving the NSA, he joined the law firm Mayer Brown.
De received his bachelor's degree from Harvard College and his law degree from Harvard Law School, from which he graduated in 1999.
