Main characters

• Rachel Walker: friendly, caring and creative. She sometimes feels sorry for Jack Frost because he doesn't have friends.
• Kirsty Tate: kind and clever, as well as loyal, fun-loving and adventurous. She is light on her feet, quite fast and usually makes up the plans.
• Jack Frost: rude, greedy and not very nice. He is the King of the Goblins and he always orders them to do things for him.
• Goblins: They cause tons of mischief and trouble. They have hooked noses and green skin. They used to be small and tiny in the early books, but later on they were changed so they are the size of an average child.
• Lucy Longwhiskers: Rabbit who lives in the Friendship Forest.
• Mr. Walker: Rachel Walker's father
• Mrs. Walker: Rachel Walker's mother
• Mr. Tate: Kirsty Tate's father
• Mrs. Tate: Kirsty Tate's mother
• Queen Titania: gentle and kind, wanting only the best for her subjects. She shows gratefulness towards the girls' help and acts as a mentor to the fairies.
• King Oberon: noble and fair, usually the one dealing with Jack Frost in person. He seems to be the only person Jack is scared of.

• Pearl the Cloud Fairy: Pearl is in charge of making it cloudy. She often has her head in the clouds.
• Goldie the Sunshine Fairy: Goldie is in charge of making it sunny. She is an early riser.
• Evie the Mist Fairy: Evie is in charge of making it misty. She loves mystery books.
• Storm the Lightning Fairy: Storm is in charge of making it stormy. She is very loud.
• Hayley the Rain Fairy: Hayley is in charge of making it rainy. Her favourite movie is Singin' in the Rain.

• Cherry the Cake Fairy: Cherry protects birthday cakes. Her favourite type of cake is black forest cake.
• Melodie the Music Fairy: Melodie protects party music. She can make instruments play by themselves.
• Grace the Glitter Fairy: Grace protects party decorations. She is sparkly and cheerful.
• Honey the Sweet Fairy : Honey protects party sweets. She has a sweet tooth.
• Polly the Party Fun Fairy: Polly protects party games. She loves to invent silly party games.
• Phoebe the Fashion Fairy: Phoebe protects party fashion. She is best friends with Grace.
• Jasmine the Present Fairy: Jasmine protects birthday gifts. She is skilled in origami.

  Jewel Fairies

• India the Moonstone Fairy: India teaches other fairies dream magic. She was named after the country of India, where moonstones are commonly found.
• Scarlett the Garnet Fairy: Scarlet teaches other fairies growing and shrinking magic. She is a practical joker; rumuor has it she may even be responsible for the Loch Ness Monster.
• Emily the Emerald Fairy: Emily teaches other fairies seeing magic. She is easily surprised.
• Chloe the Topaz Fairy: Chloe teaches other fairies changing and transforming magic. She has notably fast reflexes.
• Amy the Amethyst Fairy: Amy teaches other fairies appearing and disappearing magic. She is shy.
• Sophie the Sapphire Fairy: Sophie teaches other fairies wishing magic. She is one of the busiest fairies of them all.
• Lucy the Diamond Fairy: Lucy teaches other fairies to fly. She was named after "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds", a song by The Beatles.

  Pet Keeper Fairies (Pet Fairies in the US)

• Katie the Kitten Fairy: Katie gives kittens good homes. Her pet is Shimmer, a size-shifting kitten.
• Bella the Bunny Fairy: Bella gives bunnies good homes. Her pet is Misty, a colour-changing bunny.
• Georgia the Guinea Pig Fairy: Georgia gives guinea pigs good homes. Her pet is Sparky, a timid guinea pig.
• Lauren the Puppy Fairy: Lauren gives puppies good homes. Her pet is Sunny, a flying puppy.
• Harriet the Hamster Fairy: Harriet gives hamsters good homes. Her pet is Twinkle, a shrinking hamster.
• Molly the Goldfish Fairy: Molly gives goldfish good homes. Her pet is Flash, a flying goldfish.
• Penny the Pony Fairy: Penny gives ponies good homes. Her pet is Glitter, a magic pony.

  Fun Day Fairies

• Megan the Monday Fairy: Megan makes Mondays fun. She is cheerful and full of laughter.
• Tallulah the Tuesday Fairy : Tallulah makes Tuesdays fun. She's a little clumsy.
• Willow the Wednesday Fairy: Willow makes Wednesdays fun. She's so busy, she wishes there was an eighth day of the week.
• Thea the Thursday Fairy: Thea makes Thursdays fun. She likes to stay up late on school nights.
• Freya the Friday Fairy : Freya makes Fridays fun. She's a movie nut.
• Sienna the Saturday Fairy: Sienna makes Saturdays fun. She loves the colour fuschia.
• Sarah the Sunday Fairy: Sarah makes Sundays fun. She is laid-back.

  Petal Fairies

• Tia the Tulip Fairy: Tia helps tulips bloom. She likes to be early for everything.
• Pippa the Poppy Fairy: Pippa helps poppies bloom. She is very relaxed.
• Louise the Lily Fairy: Louise helps lilies bloom. She loves the water.
• Charlie the Sunflower Fairy : Charlie helps sunflowers bloom. Originally, she was called Charlotte in both versions, but the UK version changed her name to Charlie and gave the name Charlotte to a different fairy.
• Olivia the Orchid Fairy: Olivia helps orchids bloom. She loves the rainforests.
• Danielle the Daisy Fairy: Danielle helps daisies bloom. She loves camping.
• Ella the Rose Fairy: Ella helps roses bloom. She is romantic.

  Dance Fairies

• Bethany the Ballet Fairy: Bethany helps ballet dances go smoothly. She's always on her toes; both figuratively and literally.
• Jade the Disco Fairy: Jade helps disco dances go smoothly. She is said to be so covered in flashy sparkles and lights, one needs sunglasses when she;s around.
• Rebecca the Rock 'n' Roll Fairy: Rebecca helps rock 'n' roll dances go smoothly. She loves Elvis Presley.
• Tasha the Tap Dance Fairy: Tasha makes sure tap dances go smoothly. She's quick-footed and loves woodpeckers.
• Jessica the Jazz Fairy: Jessica makes sure jazz dances go smoothly. She loves musicals.
• Saskia the Salsa Fairy : Saskia makes sure salsa dances go smoothly. She loves spicy food.
• Imogen the Ice Dance Fairy : Imogen makes sure ice dances go smoothly. She also makes sure everyone is dressed warmly in the winter and keeps Jack Frost from nipping at your nose.

• Helena the Horseriding Fairy : Helena keeps horseriders safe. She is optimistic.
• Francesca the Football Fairy : Francesca keeps football players safe. She tends to knock goblins down with her penalty kicks.
• Zoe the Skating Fairy: Zoe keeps skaters safe. She's a speed demon.
• Naomi the Netball Fairy : Naomi keeps netball players safe. She prioritizes fairness.
• Samantha the Swimming Fairy: Samantha keeps swimmers safe. Her magic is so strong, even goblins love to swim when she's around.
• Alice the Tennis Fairy: Alice keeps tennis players safe. She prioritizes politeness.
• Gemma the Gymnastics Fairy: Gemma keeps gymnasts safe. She prioritizes improvement.

• Poppy the Piano Fairy: Poppy protects piano music. In her book, Rachel is temporarily disguised as a goblin.
• Ellie the Guitar Fairy: Ellie protects guitar music. She is very bold.
• Fiona the Flute Fairy: Fiona protects flute music. She is bright and cheerful.
• Danni the Drum Fairy: Danni protects drum music. She loves parades.
• Maya the Harp Fairy: Maya protects harp music. Her favourite colour is yellow.
• Victoria the Violin Fairy: Victoria protects violin music. She's a talented step dancer.
