Rachel Ong


Rachel Ong Sin Yen is a Singaporean politician currently serving as a Member of the Parliament for West Coast GRC since 2020.

Education and personal life

Ong obtained master's degrees in business administration at INSEAD and Tsinghua University. She is currently single.

Career

Before entering to politics, she was involved in charity work including Trybe. She was also the Vice-Chairwoman of the Telok Blangah Citizens' Consultative Committee, as well as the Chief Executive of ROHEI.
In 2020 election, Ong was nominated a candidate of the ruling People's Action Party for West Coast GRC. On 10 July, her team defeated the opposition unity team from the Progress Singapore Party with a marginal win, led by an ex-MP and an ex-presidential candidate in 2011 Tan Cheng Bock.
