QAGOMA

QAGOMA is the organisation which operates the two state art museums in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
The Queensland Art Gallery was established in 1895 in the former Brisbane Town Hall in Queen Street. After a number of moves, it acquired its first purpose-built building on Stanley Street, South Brisbane in 1982. Another building on Stanley Street was constructed to house its Gallery of Modern Art; it opened in 2006. The buildings are part of the Queensland Cultural Centre precinct.
