Pusa Institute of Technology


Pusa Institute of Technology formerly known as Pusa Polytechnic is a premier engineering college in New Delhi, India established in 1962. It is affiliated to the Board of Technical Education, Delhi of the Government of Delhi. It is one of the best government college amongst the polytechnic colleges in India and has implemented the Community Polytechnic schematic of Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India. It provides Diploma and post-Diploma technical education.

Introduction

Pusa Polytechnic is an old institute in Delhi established in 1962. It is affiliated to the Board of Technical Education and All India Council of Technical Education.
Pusa Polytechnic also has dormitories for boys, canteen facilities, gym and a sports room for recreational activities. It has a history of placing its students in various reputed companies. The Industrial Training and Liaison Officer is responsible for arranging campus interviews by the prospective employers.
In addition to the Audio-Visual training sessions, students are also provided with workshop training and industrial visits, organized for the students by the institute.
The polytechnic has staff as per AICTE norms and AICTE pay scales/service conditions have been implemented. The polytechnic has implemented Community Polytechnic scheme of Ministry of HRD and Stree Shakti Camps are attended by the staff of the Institute.

Delhi Polytechnic Common Entrance Test preparation

Prospective students must appear for a Common Entrance Test conducted by the Board of Technical Education. The minimum eligibility to qualify for the CET is 35% aggregate in Science, Mathematics & English in Secondary School Examination.

Admission Process

The admissions to the different diploma courses are based on the Common Entrance Test taken by the Department Of Training & Technical Education, Delhi in May /June every year.
The Notification is out in the month of April every year.
The minimum eligibility criteria for the student to be selected with a minimum 35 per cent aggregate in English, Maths, Science & pass in rest of the subjects in Class 10th. The subjects Science, Mathematics & English are compulsory and the candidate should have passing marks in each of these three subjects without considering grace Marks.
