Punta Vagno Lighthouse


Punta Vagno Lighthouse is an active lighthouse located on the same name Cape at the east entrance of the Port of Genoa, Liguria on the Ligurian Sea.

Description

The lighthouse was built at the end of 19th century, but was activated on October 10, 1931, and consists of a white masonry tapered cylindrical tower, high, with balcony and lantern. The tower was destroyed during World War II and was rebuilt in 1948. The lantern is painted in white, the dome in grey metallic, and is positioned at above sea level and emits three long white flashes in a 15 seconds period, visible up to a distance of.
