Proculus Geganius Macerinus


Proculus Geganius Macerinus was consul of the Roman republic in 440 BC.
Papirius belonged to the patrician Gegania gens. He was probably a brother of the more famous Marcus Geganius Macerinus, consul in 447, 443, 437 BC and censor in 435 BC.

Consulship

Geganius was elected consul together with Titus Menenius Lanatus or Lucius Menenius Lanatus in 440 BC. There was a famine in Rome during the year and a praefectus annonae, Lucius Minucius Esquilinus Augurinus, was elected to solve the crisis
