Prince Antoine of Bourbon-Two Sicilies


Prince Antoine of Bourbon-Two Sicilies was a member of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies which ruled the defunct Kingdom of the Two Sicilies until 1860. By profession he was an engineer specializing in radar technology.

Family

Antoine was the only child of Prince Gabriel of the Two Sicilies by his first wife, Princess Malgorzata Izabella Czartoryska. Antoine was a male-line great-grandson of King Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies and an elder half-brother of Princes Giovanni and Casimir of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.
Although his children were born in Germany, he later practiced his career in France, maintaining a family home in Seine-et-Marne.

Marriage

Prince Antoine married Duchess Elisabeth of Württemberg civilly on 18 July 1958 and religiously the next day at her parents' palace in Altshausen, Württemberg, Germany. She is the third child and second daughter of Philipp Albrecht, Duke of Württemberg, by his second wife, Archduchess Rosa of Austria. Their four children are:

Titles and styles

In addition to the historical princely rank which derives from membership in the formerly reigning House of Bourbon-Sicily, the title of Prince of Bourbon and the style of Royal Highness were specifically accorded to Antoine's father Gabriel de Borbón, and to all children born of his dynastic marriage, by a Spanish royal decree issued 19 August 1920.

Honours
