Prajesh Sen
Prajesh Sen G is an Indian filmmaker and writer. In 2017, he made his directorial debut with Captain starring Jayasurya and Anu Sithara. The movie Captain was based on the life story of former India national football team captain, VP Sathyan. It is the first ever sports biopic made in Malayalam. Jayasurya won Kerala State Film Awards for best actor for his role as VP Sathyan.
Prajesh Sen was known as a writer and a journalist before he became a filmmamker. The biopic Ormakalude bhramanapadham that he wrote based on the life of former Indian Space Research Organisation scientist Nambi Narayanan was the best seller in its year of release. A documentary was made on the life of Nambi Narayanan by the name, "Nambi the scientist". He has received awards for his journalism including Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards, Theruvath Raman Award and State Bank of Travancore Journalism awards.
Prajesh worked with Dutch director :nl:Jacco Groen|Jacco Groen in his street kids documentary series. He has worked as an associate producer in Jacco Groen's "The Road to Moscow", which documents the lives of nine girls who are chosen by Karunalaya social service society to represent India at the Street Child World Cup 2018 in Moscow, Russia.
Prajesh Sen worked as a Co. Director in R. Madhavan's movie which is based on the prominent scientist Nambi Narayanan’s life, in which R. Madhavan himself plays the title role. His second movie, "" with Jayasurya in the lead role is scheduled to be released in the month of May, 2020. Due to the covid 19, the release got postponed and the new release date is yet to be announced.
Career
Prajesh Sen started his career as a journalist and media person, he started with the Prabhatha bheri casual reporter of All India Radio Trivandrum and then moved to Madhyamam News Paper, a leading Malayalam news daily. Then he worked as an assistant director with Siddique. He has conducted a photo exhibition named 'Dead Slow' across Kerala state to create awareness about road accidents.Personal life
Prajesh Sen was born to Gopi.N, and T.K Lathika. He married Sabeena SK in 2013. They have a son named Alan P Sen, born in September 2017. Prajesh's brother Lebison Gopi, is a still photographer in the film industry.Filmography
