Poltava Battalion
The "Poltava" battalion is the special task patrol police unit, subordinated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The unit is composed of approximately 300 policemen ages 18–45. Various charity organizations in Ukraine have donated basic supplies and provide medical care for the volunteers of the battalion.
In July 2014 the battalion was sent to the War in Donbass.
On 5 September 2014 "Myrnyi" police company was merged into "Poltava" police battalion.
