Pimkie


Pimkie is privately owned a fast fashion label and store chain for young women's clothing with shops all across Europe and headquarters in Villeneuve-d'Ascq near Lille northern France. Three other offices exist in Germany, Spain and Italy. The company is part of the Association Familiale Mulliez, founded by Gérard Mulliez. The first shop was opened in 1971 in Lille under the label Pimckie - the name was changed to its current form in 1983.
Clothing design comes from the centers in Lille, Barcelona und Milan. Three distribution centers and for all of Europe is in Willstätt near Offenburg in Baden-Württemberg. Altogether 5212 employees in 716 chain stores in 30 countries produced 563 million Euro turnover in 2017. In December 2018, Béatrice Lafon was appointed as the company's new CEO. Among Pimkie's competitors are C&A, Zara, H&M, Bestseller, NewYorker, Tally Weijl, Esprit, and Camaïeu.
