Pete Fredenburg


Pete Fredenburg is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach at the University of Mary Hardin–Baylor in Belton, Texas, a position he has held since the 1998 season when the program began play. Fredenburg led Mary Hardin–Baylor to the NCAA Division III Football Championship in 2016 and 2018. His 2004 squad finished as runners-up, losing to Linfield. Before coming to Mary Hardin–Baylor, Fredenburg served as an assistant coach at Baylor University, Louisiana State University, and Louisiana Tech University. He played football at Southwest Texas State University—now known as Texas State University–San Marcos—from 1968 to 1970.
