Pelham House
Pelham House is a large red-bricked building at St Andrews Lane in Lewes, East Sussex. It is a Grade II listed building.History
The house was built in the 16th century for the Goring family and enlarged in the mid-18th century during its ownership by the Pelham family. It was enlarged again in the early-19th century. It became the offices and meeting place of East Sussex County Council in 1938. The County Council moved their offices to St Anne's Crescent in Lewes in 1968 and ceased using Pelham house as a meeting place in 2003. The house was subsequently acquired by five families who converted the house into a conference centre and hotel.
