Paul Richard Thomas is a photographer and artist known for his cutting edge work in fashion and beauty. A worldwide traveler, Paul's broad influence spans Europe, the Americas, Thailand, and Egypt, where he picked up his first camera in his youth.

Biography

Thomas’ career began in Paris as an illustrator for press and advertising, followed by early photography for architecture and archaeology editorials. Setting his focus on fashion photography, His exceptional skill has attracted exclusive clientele giving him the opportunity to work with top models from major international agencies, prestigious brands and household names. Creative storyboards, unconventional posing and final cropping effects are hallmarks of Thomas’ amazing conceptual imagery.
Thomas’ originality is highlighted by his stylistic cover shots and creative graphic style, using international models and French actresses such as Béatrice Dalle, Laura Smet, Helena Noguerra, Adriana Karembeu, Laura Paketova, Marie Gillain, and Olga Kurylenko.
His editorial work with elite fashion and beauty companies, utilizing his own proprietary methods in pearly light imaging, resulted in a demand for his specialized services to elevate the beauty of top models such as Anja Rubik, Irina Pantaeva, Olga Pantushenkova, Tanja, Ruta Palionyte, Talytha Pugliesi, Angelica Boss, Zdenka Barkalova, Fatima Siad, Gabriela Gubert, Fatima Siad among others.
Thomas was commissioned as sole photographer for the inauguration of the Chanel Group to create the portraits of Chanel Group, the portrait of Mr François Lesage, Isabel Marant, Anne Valérie Hash, Jérôme Dreyfus, Eymeric François and Franck Sorbier.
Beyond the setting of advertisings, Thomas also worked on other commercial projects including directing TV advertisings and music videos: "Steps in the Dark", "Awake but half Dead", "Save your Soul", and more.
Through his worldwide exhibitions and the multi publications about his work including the photography book, he contributes to inspire the new photography stream, his images bringing a pure, allegoric and graphic concept to the fashion world.
His latest exhibition on September 10, 2019 offered an introspective view and a far-reaching public statement regarding society's perceptions, incorporating his sharp edge of surrealism, while inciting social commentary on the attainment of beauty and individuality. A stunning photographic exhibition took place in the heard of Manhattan, during New York Fashion Week, at the iconic location of Bryant Park. Paul Richard Thomas was giving birth to the first sequel of his virtual outdoor gallery photo exhibit staged by 15 male models standing in a circle, harnessed each of them in their back with a giant print of photograph. The public was entering the circle to discover the striking images each of them staring models and celebrities who were offering, for this occasion, their likeness to the most chocking and provocative beauty shoot. This original presentation took place in a virtual outdoor gallery, living the elements of this performance: staging and photographic content, in total immersion with the city and the crowd.
