Paul Fitzke


Paul Frederick Herman Fitzke was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Cleveland Indians in its 1924 season. 'Bob', as he was nicknamed, appeared in just one game for the Indians, while pitching four innings on September 1, 1924.
Besides, Fitzke was a player in the National Football League for the Frankford Yellow Jackets in 1925, as he also competed at collegiate level with the University of Idaho and University of Wyoming football teams.
Fitzke was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He died of leukemia in Sacramento, California on June 30, 1950 and is buried in Boise, Idaho.
