Paschim Express


The 12925 / 12926 Paschim Express is a Superfast express train belonging to Indian Railways that runs between Bandra Terminus in Mumbai and Amritsar in Punjab. It has slip coaches of 22925/26 which go towards Kalka.
It is a daily service. It operates as train number 12925 from Bandra Terminus to Amritsar and as train number 12926 in the reverse direction.

The Paschim Express runs between Mumbai & Amritsar, Kalka. The train bifurcates at Ambala Cant Junction. It is a daily service covering the distance of 1821 km in 31 hours 45 mins as 12925 Paschim Express averaging 60.48 km/hr & 30 hours 35 mins as 12926 Paschim Express averaging 62.54 km/hr. The average speed of the total run is 61.43 km/hr.

Route & Halts

Earlier Dual traction WCAM 1 or WCAM 2/2P locos would haul the train between Bandra Terminus & Vadodara after which a Ghaziabad based WAP 1 would take over for the remainder on the journey.
Since Western Railways completed DC Electric Conversion to AC on 5 February 2012, it is now regularly hauled by a Ghaziabad based WAP 7 or WAP 5 locomotive for its entire journey.
It is now regularly hauled by a Vadodara or Valsad Electric Loco Shed based WAP 4E locomotive on its entire journey.
