Parián


Pariáns were districts of cities in the Philippines during the country's Spanish colonial era where Chinese were required to live by Spanish colonial authorities. In Luzon there are several towns and cities with district for chinese settlers, the most famous is the parian of Manila, other is in Vigan and Pariancillo Malolos which established in 1755 Chinese enclave of Malolos were from migrants from Manila. In Visayas, Cebu City and Iloilo City had also parians. Cebu's parian was founded in 1590 after the arrival of Chinese traders and was supervised by the Jesuits. Molo was the location of Iloilo's parian.
