Panicos Nicolaou


Panicos Nicolaou is a Cypriot banker, and the chief executive officer of the Bank of Cyprus, the country's largest bank, since September 2019.

Biography

Nicolaou earned a BSc in Financial Services from the School of Management, UMIST, UK, a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece and an MSc in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, US.
Nicolaou joined the Bank of Cyprus in 2001, rising to director of corporate banking in June 2016. In September 2019, he succeeded John Hourican as CEO.
