Palombia

Palombia is a fictitious South American country described in the Belgian Spirou et Fantasio and Marsupilami comic book stories as the birthplace and native habitat of Marsupilami.
The country is described as "the smallest country in Latin America", and, based on its description, lies roughly within the borders of real-world Venezuela and Colombia.
The name is a portmanteau of Paraguay and Colombia.
There is a pigeon-themed pun in the name Palombie - Colombia's name in French, Colombie, is very similar to the French word for a white-feathered pigeon, colombe; and another variety of pigeon, the wood pigeon, is called palombe in French, which accordingly is very similar to the name Palombie.
