Palestinian Journalists Syndicate


The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate is a professional, non-governmental organization, with a pluralistic nature and an independent legal personality, as it represents the inclusive and inclusive union framework of all Palestinian journalists inside and outside Palestine. Its main center is located in Jerusalem, and it has other branches in the Palestinian governorates. Exercises its activities and policy that determine the decisions of its general conferences.
By establishing the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate in 1979 under the name "Association of Arab Journalists in Jerusalem", then the Israeli occupation prevented at that time any designation referring to Palestine, and in 1994 when the Palestinian National Authority came back, the union worked with its current name. The General Secretariat of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has 21 members.

Membership

Membership in the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate is divided into four sections:
  1. Active member: enjoys all rights and duties.
  2. Honorary member: He enjoys all rights and duties, the right to nominate and be elected in any of the union's bodies.
  3. Temporary member: He enjoys all rights and duties, except for the right to nominate and be elected in any of the union's bodies.
  4. Trainee Member: He has limited rights and duties.
