PAREF Rosehill School

PAREF Rosehill School is a private educational institution for girls located in Antipolo, Rizal, Philippines that provides preschool, grade school and high school levels. It was founded in March 1990. The school was organized and currently being run by the Parents for Education Foundation. PAREF Rosehill is one of the several PAREF schools located in the country.
The mentoring system is the main channel through which home-school collaboration is facilitated. Students are followed up individually by a school staff member called a Mentor. Through periodic conversations with the child and her parents, the Mentor helps the student assimilate the intellectual and moral formation imparted by the school, and thus helps the student develop into a mature and responsible individual. The Mentor in effect is an older friend in whom the student confides, and with whom she relates in complete and responsible freedom.

History of PAREF Rosehill

PAREF was established in 1975 as an initiative of parents and educators to operate schools that recognize parents as the primary educators of their children. The founders of PAREF have introduced in the country a personalized system of education which is the hallmark of all PAREF schools.
The system of education was first developed in Europe in the 1950s when St. Josemaria Escriva, founder of Opus Dei, encouraged parents to perform their educative and formative role toward their children with greater responsibility. It is being implemented in many learning institutions in different countries throughout the world, such as the United States, Australia, Mexico, Spain, Italy and Ireland.
Rosehill first opened its doors to three- and four-year-old boys and girls who attended the Nursery and Kindergarten levels in a home at the corner of E. Abada and B. Gonzales, Loyola Heights, Quezon City, in 1990.
The following year, Rosehill opened its grade school for girls.
The school moved shortly after to a two-hectare site, a donation of a generous benefactor in Mission Hills, Antipolo City in 1993. On its ninth year of operation, Rosehill had a complete offering of preschool and grade school education. The school moved progressively on to offering a high school curriculum for girls.
The first set of high school students graduated on March 25, 2003.
