Omar Fadel


Omar Fadel is an American award winning, Los Angeles based composer for film, television, and video games. He is also a multi-instrumentalist, whose scores frequently feature him on a wide array of instruments, including guitar, piano, cello, drums and percussion. Omar’s work can be heard in numerous films, television shows and video games, namely the global game franchise, The Dictator, and the Oscar nominated film, Day One.

Career

Film/TV/Video Game Work

His film credits include the award winning films The Taqwacores, Just Like Us and the first Arabic language feature film from Walt Disney Pictures, The United. In 2012 Omar co-wrote "The Song of Admiral General Sargeant Aladeen" on the soundtrack of the film The Dictator with composer Erran Baron Cohen. In 2015, Omar composed the score to the Oscar nominated film, Day One.
In addition to his film work, Omar has scored several television shows, most notably, the Mike Judge produced ABC animated sitcom, The Goode Family, and NBC’s Phenomenon. Omar’s music is also frequently licensed to unscripted television programming including: The Daily Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, X Factor, Dateline, Shedding for the Wedding, The Shahs of Sunset, Millionaire Matchmaker.
