Olive Baptist Church
The Olive Baptist Church was formed in Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1871 to serve the textile city's small African-American population, many of whom were recently freed slaves. Rev. W.H. Garrett was its founding pastor. Five years after its founding, its membership was 43.
