Offham Marshes

Offham Marshes is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest on the northern outskirts of Lewes in East Sussex.
Ditches in these alluvial marshes have large breeding populations of amphibian species such as common toads, smooth newts, palmate newts and common frogs. The ditches also support the hairy dragonfly and many beetles, including Britain's largest species, the rare great silver beetle.
