Odd Fellows Cemetery (Philadelphia)

Odd Fellows Cemetery was a cemetery at 24th and Diamond Streets in Philadelphia, established in 1849 and demolished in the 1950s.
The gatehouse was designed by architect Stephen Decatur Button.
In 1950, the cemetery property was acquired by the Philadelphia Housing Authority for construction of a housing project. The bodies interred there were moved to two other cemeteries owned by the Odd Fellows: Mount Peace Cemetery in Philadelphia and Lawnview Memorial Park in Rockledge, Pennsylvania. However, in 2013, workers unearthed 28 graves and bones that were not moved and remained under the playground of the William Dick school built in 1954 along with the housing project.
