Norwegian National Academy of Theatre
The Norwegian National Academy of Theatre was established as a three-year theater-education in 1953, under the name of Statens teaterskole.
The school was given collegiate status in 1982. It is today one of two institutions that offer theater education on a college level, but still the only one with a line for directors.
In 1996 the National Academy of Theatre became part of Oslo National Academy of the Arts. The National Academy of Theatre is today part of the Faculty of Performing Arts at KHiO.
