Nord-Trøndelag County Municipality


Nord-Trøndelag County Municipality is the regional governing administration of Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. The main responsibilities of the county municipality includes the running of 12 upper secondary schools, with 7,000 pupils. It administrates 1,771 km of county roadways, public transport, dental care, culture and cultural heritage.
The county council has 35 members, and Mayor of the County Council is Gunnar Viken while his deputy is Johannes Sandstad. The county cabinet is led by Anne Marit Mevassvik and has four members, from the Labour Party, the Conservative Party and the Christian Democratic Party. The administration is located in Steinkjer.
