Nicholas Swirad

Nicholas Ryan Swirad is a Malaysian professional footballer who last plays as a centre-back for Malaysia Super League club PKNS and will play with Selangor for next 2020 Malaysia Super League seasons.

Club career

After playing in non-league football in England, Swirad joined NPL Tasmania side Northern Rangers in 2015, playing 16 matches and scoring twice for the club in all competitions.

Johor Darul Ta'zim FC II

At the end of the 2015–16 season, Nicholas left Northern Rangers to sign for Johor Darul Ta'zim II of the Malaysia Premier League. His registration was delayed, due to having to apply for a Malaysian passport. In September 2016 he received his Malaysian passport, which enabled him to play for JDT II as well as the Malaysia national football team.

Melaka United

On 12 June 2017, Nicholas joined Super League team Melaka United on a season loan. He made his first-team debut for Melaka United in July 2017.

International career

In March 2019, Swirad received his first call-up to the Malaysia national football team but a groin injury prevented him from making his debut.
