New Holland is a census-designated place in Douglas County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 76 at the 2010 census.
A large share of the early settlers being natives of Holland caused the name to be selected.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there were 78 people, 39 households, and 21 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 669.6 people per square mile. There were 44 housing units at an average density of 377.7/sq mi. The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.15% White and 3.85% Native American.
There were 39 households out of which 17.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% were married couples living together, and 43.6% were non-families. 43.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 35.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
