Nebojša Vignjević


Nebojša Vignjević is a Serbian football manager and former player.

Career

Vignjević came through the youth system of Partizan, but failed to make any first-team appearances. He later played for lower league club Rakovica, before moving to Yugoslav First League side Rad in the early 1990s. Later on, Vignjević played with the Toronto Lynx of the USL A-League.
After hanging up his boots, Vignjević served as manager of Serbian SuperLiga clubs Hajduk Kula, Rad and Vojvodina. He previously spent some time at Montenegrin First League's Grbalj and Rudar Pljevlja.

Újpest

In October 2013, Vignjević was appointed as manager of Hungarian club Újpest.
On 1 June 2020 he was removed from his position after two consecutive defeats. First, Újpest was defeated by their archrival Ferencvárosi TC at the Szusza Ferenc Stadion and then the team lost to Kisvárda FC at the Várkerti Stadion. Both matches were played after the return from the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Vignjević is the older brother of fellow former footballer Nikola Vignjević. They played indoor soccer together for National Professional Soccer League club Edmonton Drillers in the 1999–2000 season.
