National COVID-19 Commission Advisory Board


The National COVID-19 Commission Advisory Board is a strategic advisory body for the national economic recovery to the COVID-19 pandemic by the Australian Government. The National COVID-19 Coordination Commission was established on the 25 March 2020 by Prime Minister Scott Morrison to provide advice on public–private partnerships and coordination to mitigate the social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia. On 22 July 2020, the Commission was renamed to the National COVID-19 Commission Advisory Board to better reflect the advisory nature of the body.

Executive Board membership

Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the membership of the Executive Board of the NCCC to consist of leaders from the private and public sectors.
The roles and membership were changed on 22 July 2020, with the commission becoming an advisory board. Power is still Chair, but the others are named as an "Executive Board of Directors drawn from across a range of sectors". They are named as Jane Halton, Paul Little, Catherine Tanna, David Thodey, Laura Berry, Samantha Hogg, Su McCluskey, Bao Hoang, Mike Hirst and Paul Howes, who are joined by the Secretaries of the PMC Philip Gaetjens, and Home Affairs, Mike Pezzullo.

Original line-up, NCCC:

was an inaugural Commissioner for the National COVID-19 Coordination Commission but departed the board in July 2020.
*David Thodey was announced as Deputy Chair of the NCCC, but the title has subsequently been dropped.

Secretariat

The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet provides secretariat support functions for the NCCC.
