Nastja Kolar


Nastja Kolar is a Slovenian tennis player. Her highest rankings are No. 178 in singles and No. 140 in doubles. She was a talented junior, her highest ranking was fourth.

Professional career

2009

In July, Kolar performed her first WTA tournament, Slovenia Open in Portorož. She lost against Roberta Vinci in the first round. In the previous year, she stuck in qualifications of the same tournament, which were also her first WTA Tour qualifications.

2010

Kolar won a $10,000 tournament in Croatia. It was her first ITF title and the first time she reached the top 700 in WTA rankings.

2011

In May, Kolar won her second ITF tournament in Slovenia; it was a $25,000 event.
In July, she qualified for the Gastein Ladies, a WTA event. She then won her first WTA Tour-level match when she defeated Alla Kudryavtseva in straight sets to advance to the second round; for the first time she reached top 300 in WTA rankings. In July, she won the Girls 18 European Junior Championships title at Klosters, Switzerland.
