Na Zare

Na Zare literally At Dawn, is a 1987 song by Alyans that was written by keyboardist Oleg Parastaev. The song was recorded in four hours and the next day was mixed at the studio of Muslim Magomayev by sound engineer Igor Zamaraev. He originally appeared on the 1987 Alliance 87 album. It is one of the most known singles of the band.

Music video

There are several clips, one of which has been shown on television in the program “Sight”.
In March 1987 in Moscow, on the territory of Tsaritsyno Park, the official video for the song was shot and was directed by Mikhail Makarenkov. Band members have never seen the result of filming. According to Oleg Parastaev, a certain Ilya sent him a digital version of the clip. The clip was uploaded to YouTube on 5 April 2019 on the Parastaev channel. The video gained about 500,000 views, after which the channel was blocked for "cheating". On April 9, the channel was restored.
In April 2020, Parastaev, together with Arutyunov-Vertinsky, recorded a new version of the song “At the dawn of 2020”, and also released a video for it. The arrangement was made by DJ DimixeR.

Cover versions

In 1997, a cover version of this song was made by the Krasnodar band Antenn MC together with DJ Jamm. There is also a cover of the band MED DOG which was released in 2001.
In the winter of 2007, Evgeny Grishkovets, the “Curlers” group and Renars Cowpers made a cover for the song. The idea was born by Eugene Grishkovets: he remembered how shocked he was at the original version when he returned from the army in 1988. At the very beginning, an original song is used, sounding from a tape recorder. When creating the cover, they probably did not immediately warn the Alyans members about their intentions, but all the links to the song are preserved both in the official description of the creation and in the video clip.
On 30 December 2018, in the “Evening Urgant” program, singer Monetochka presented her version of the song, and on 17 April 2019, the Alyans group itself already performed the song in the “Evening Urgant” studio in honor of the program’s birthday.
The composition is included in the soundtrack for the films Hardcore, Vacation of the President and Without Me, and also sounds at the end of the film Speakerphone.
