Mylakkadu


Mylakkadu is a small suburban village and junction in the Kollam district of the Kerala state in India. It is near the town Kottiyam. There are a number of industries and temples in the village, with several festivals held at the locale as well.

and Ithikkara River are nearby, as is NH 47. The National Highway is very helpful in the development of Mylakkadu. Mylakkadu is also connected to Kannanalloor and Kundara through Mylakkadu - Kannanalloor road.

Economy

Mylakkadu is well known on its clay and bricks industries. Travancore potteries and Regal are the oldest factories in Mylakkadu. These factories are started on the colonial period. Kottiyam, Paravur and Chathannoor are the nearest towns.
